MyBlackHen, I live in Salem, but work in Ballston Spa and Saratoga almost every day. Chickens are addictive aren't they?

Chickens are Very addictive and so much fun to watch. I free ranged my youngin's with the adults yesterday, wow...they are big! One of the roo's is bigger than my phoenix hen.
Glad the temps are back where they should be. Too dang hot for me and my babies. Hope you are all doing well!

Hi fellow chicken lovers! I'm new to chickens and actually not supposed to have them! I have a flock of 8 in my backyard! My neighbors don't mind thank god. I have 3 kids who just love them, best pet for kids I think!!! Anyway I'm in liverpool Ny anyone near by?

It would be cool to have jersey giants, my DH was just talking about that. I can't imagine a chicken bigger than my BR roo, wow! When I got the BR roo home from the auction I was surprised how big he was. He had been in a cage not big enough for him to fully stand in so we thought he was only slightly bigger than the hens, when we let him out of the cage we were amazed!
