Hi..I think the swap is on May 7th at the Cornell Extension Building in Oriskany...

Last official word is May 7th like Karen said, 8-2 I believe, $10 for a "booth", free for buyers. Bring anything you want to sell, IE: chickens, rabbits, waterfoul, crafts, stuff along those lines. Sue should have more complete info soon, I know that she is very busy and was coming down with a cold so it might be alittle bit.

I hope she feels better soon. I'm just finally starting to feel somewhat human.
Anyone know how much the sale cages usually are at the FFC show in June? I may just wait. I'm also going to the show in Hamburg in May.

I would like to thanks Rancher for being a great chick sitter and very kind while my life went crazy . It has calmed down for now I hope ! The chicks are doing great and OMG are very nice .

Patty.

All small animals are welcome.

The fee for selling will be $10 per space. Free for buyers.
We expect chickens, waterfowl, turkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals, goats, pigs, pigeons, etc, plus equipment, cages, feeders, incubators, etc. that correspond to these animals.

Vendors must provide their own cages, enclosures, etc.
All animals must be confined safely.
Spaces will be assigned on a first come basis and be approximately 10'x 10'.
There will be no food provided so bring your lunch.
There are restrooms available.
This is an outdoor event, so dress appropriatly.

This is a great opportunity for 4-Hers to obtain stock from breeders for their yearly projects.

For more information call Sue at 315-829-3842 or email [email protected].

The sale cages at the FLFC show in June are $4 per cage, max 4 birds per cage.

I just posted the info for the swap on May 7th.

Hi..I think the swap is on May 7th at the Cornell Extension Building in Oriskany...

Thanks, Karen! BTW... i think I only got part of your last text.

Oriskany??? I had to look up where that is.

I'm really confused. I thought this was the Fingerlakes Feather Club swap. I grew up right in the middle of the Fingerlakes, near Owasco lake. The fingerlakes are <<<--------THAT way from Syracuse... LOL!!!! Oriskany is ------->>> THAT way! The fingerlakes are a full two hours from Oriskany. Syracuse is an hour -- almost directly in between. Is this a 4-H thing or FFC thing?

Sorry if I shound cranky! I was under the impression that we were having a local swap. I know that Utica is local for some, but not for me.

Gotta be some pretty spectacular chickens or a really good reason for me to drive an hour or more. Is this listed in the Chickenstock section? Are people giving an idea of what they'll bring? C'mon -- motivate me!

I think that originally, the group that formed the Finger lakes Feather Club, was from that area, but the clubs members have slowly moved further east. I know the name is confusing.
Anyways, Oriskany is about 40 minutes from Syracuse, and its not that far from the Westmoreland Thruway exit, so its pretty much a straight line.

It will be in the parking lot, and its a big lot, and we can use the buildings restrooms. Lets just hope for a sunny day.
I think its a good idea for people to post what they are bringing, so buyers will know what to expect. The better the selection, the more people will come to buy.

I'll go see where I might be able to start a thread just about the swap, & get back to the NY group.

I posted the info in the "Chickenstock" section. If anyon has more questions or anything, I guess we should discuss it there so we don't burden this group.
