If anyone's going to the next JP's north auction (May 1) and is willing to take a box of my chicks along, please PM me - happy to pay for gas, cut you in on the 'action', whatever.

I'd love to go but it's my only day that week with DH and he is balking at going to a 'chicken auction'. I'll probably have 10-15 4-week old chickies to bring. If no one is going, I'll try the one out this way, but it seems like it would be a lot smaller, right? (Schuylerville auction). Anyone going to the schuylerville auction on the 30th?


Just let me know!! I've got too many chickies and I hope I can pick out at least a few roos by then.

I have the next few days off and I'm hoping for at least a little sunshine so we can start on my new coop.

"If I only had a brain" plays in the background for me somedays. I do have to admit sometimes if I'm being a bit too over the top but I do love reading everything on this site and I enjoy posting to it as well. It really helps keep me out of the doldrums.

I was opening up some of Renees eggs today to (okay, her chickens' eggs) mark up and drool over and as I'm looking at them I see "M", okay so I'm thinking what does "M" mean in the Silkie world "Multi" It suddenly hit me that maybe I should turn the dang egg upside down. I laughed at myself for five minutes

I hear that they have everything at that auction, never been though! Would love to take birds but will be in NC by then or at least traveling then to look at homes.
