Just wanted to say that I had a good time last night at the poultry meeting in Oriskany....it was great to see Cydney83, Happycountryhens and Marquisella there!! Rancher Hicks and I drove out together and I took him on a tour of the "back" roads...alright, alright...I took a couple wrong turns...but its all good-we got home......eventually!! Its always different driving in the dark in an unfamiliar area.....LOL!!!

Also...thank God for high beams! Holy crap is it dark out there!!

How many people We at the Talk last night. I had hoped to go, but circumstances did not allow for it.

What was the main focus of the talk?

Regards,

Christopher

Okay my darling Tim, I'm going to start from the bottom and go up. The gray is a.....SPLASH! I'm going to even go on a limb and say it is a cockeral.

The picture above that is your porcelain, the self blue is so light it is giving the appearance of white in your photo but it is obvious that there is buff coloring in the wing.

Above the porcelain is indead a blue. Nice, heavy feathering around the hock.

The top photo appeared to be a white on my screen!! None of my whites are laying so it could be a very, VERY light porcelain. Spread it's wings and look for the buff. Weird.

Claudia

I did say that the pics are lighter than they are in real life. The blue orp is darker as are the rest. The porcelain is indeed lighter than what I saw at the show and in pics, but def not white.

I had a good time too. Never noticed getting lost since I had no idea where I was except in the sticks and near the prison. Good garden o' peas! Anyhow if we ran out of gas, I figure I probably have family there and could bunk with them.

If I do a genealogy search I just start with the prison records and that's just for the women.

Anyhow I think Trish just turns her hearing aid off and shuts me out, which is how she can stand my incessant talking. Though I must admit to running out of cough drops and that would drive anyone crazy. This spring and allergies, Lord have mercy.

It was a good meeting but next time Trish needs to bring a bigger purse for us to smuggle something home. Just not silkies.

It was a nice meeting....went little long for my husband..he works 3rd....kids did good...even the 2 yr old...wish we didn't have to leave..what time did it end? On the positive note we passed the NPIP yesterday and yes the 2 yr old helped...ok so 2 chickens got out....2 yr old doesn't know how or that the bantams looked cute in the cart...thank goodness we were in the garage ....he only fell in the mud... 2 or 3 times...Husband had let the chickens out so they didn't want to go in...we had them all caged by the time Lorriane got here ok she was a little late...

Now, Trish I don't think it is any darker here then Syracuse?! haha kidding..the dark sure changes it all!

Rancher, I was nice to sort of say hi...

I didn't meet Happycountryhens...where were you sitting...?...

Well hope everyone has a nice day...Sun is out...

bleh what's up with this cold? I finally get all the nipple waterers out and have to put out pans of water today since it was 22F here. Bleh.

Plus my babies in the barn looked very displeased but they are feathering out nice and early.

It finally ended at 10pm. Dave brought out a beautiful peacock and a nigerian goat with 3 tiny babies, so cute.

It was fun seeing everyone from here.

Did you get my PM? It's all good. Of all days, today was a perfect one to cancel on. I must be coming down with what DD had. Let me know what you'd like to do as far as meeting again. Is Saturday too soon?
