Well...couldn't help myself! LOL

I thought I'd post it here first...3 fawn and white Indian Runners...got them from Colleen...and 2 mallards...1 drake and 1 hen. They gotta go...if anyone is interested, please pm me. I just can't do it...they're cute as hell, but I don't know when I will be able to build them a pen of their own..things seem to be piling up on me left and right, so if you know of anyone. The runners were hatched out the last week of April...best I can recollect anyway and the mallards were picked up at TSC a couple weeks later. All feathered out and soo cute, but I just need good homes for them.

Well I can say with some confidence that the bridgeport auction is not going to happen for a long time. At least that's my impression of things.

Now yes he is a cutie and I can't wait to see him.

On another note, I noticed I'm missing one of the maran hens. I don't know what or who took her. I've had a couple of nights when I got out there after dark to close things up. Plus the stockade fence is not finished on the garden side of the yard so a pred could jump that easily enough. Also I haven't been "watering" the yard like I should have been, but I will til I leave. I would have expected it to be a Del or a young one. Then again if she got out of the yard she wouldn't know how to get back in. Now that I think of it I haven't seen any rabbits at night when I go out either. That's not a good sign. This means war!!

I've told DW and DD not to let them out of the run if no one will be home. Trylin I will give them your number in case of an emergency. K?

Fyre - What kind of "chicken fencing" are you talking about? Is there a web site about it?

While I was showing DW what's what she says, "why aren't you keeping the silkies?" Just what I need.

Well take care

If you go to an auction please let me know.

Well the girl didn't come and get the chicks so they are still here. I even said I'd take back the roos.

I've spent all morning and afternoon getting ready for my trip. Making sure there is food in the jugs and moved the chicks to the back room. I expected to vaccumm some but have to wait. I'm double dog tired.

Been going round and round with a women about trading work for chickens. Here's who I'm going to see.

Rancher he is soooooo cute! Bet you can't wait to go and see him.

How old are the Frizzle/Delaware crosses again?

Happy Country Hens

They were born on the 5th. They're all white. I have three. Plus one that may be barred like the mother. I was going to keep it but if you take the others I'll part with it.

Thank you all for the thoughtfullness. They really were sweet, Claire had been carrying them in her sweatshirt pockets and holding them alot. Very attached. I think I need to not get anything that can't live INSIDE the chicken barn. If anyone has anything set up like that was, please fix the wire and lock them in the house part at night. Just that simple step would have saved them but they weren't smart enough to go in the darn house, the coons couldn't have gotton them inside. No wire just a soild room. Lesson learned the hard way.

Rancher I'm just catching up on the thread. He's a gorgeous baby! It makes me think having another sooner wouldn't be so bad (mine are still sleeping at this point so I might change my mind later).

I moved my older daughter's party from the zoo to my house due to the rain and then it cleared up about 2pm. Argh! Yesterday was hectic so I'm enjoying my few minutes of peace this morning watching my blue boy (straight comb BLRW) with his southern ladies (big blue puffy butt orpingtons) roam the yard.

Does anyone know of any regular auctions in the Finger Lakes (Seneca County area or close)? I know we missed a small animal auction in Canandaigua last week. Just curious if there is anything regular out here.
