NY chicken lover!!!!

IT"S RAINING!!!!! I don't care that it IS the first day of my vacation, I am soooo excited that it is raining. (And soooo tired of watering the garden daily)

My chickens HATED it when I sprayed them with the hose when it was beastly hot out. Guess where they are now that it is only 74 degrees out? Standing in the rain. LOL

I will have a hard time convincing the person coming to get a rooster how "pretty" they are if they are all wet. Sigh. But she said she lost BOTH of her boys recently, so she needs a roo. She can have 2. Or three. But I draw the line at 3 per persons.

(That's all I have LEFT to rehome. I am keeping or eating the rest of the roos.)

Raining here in latham, where I am at work for a few more hours. I left all the coop windows open too. Should be fun when I get home.

Anyone hatching in about three weeks? I have one hen trying to go broody. I do NOT need any more chicks, especially any more roos, so I may attempt to break her this time. Was tempted to order one of the hatchery all pullet specials, but then I'd have to sell the extras on CL immediately, as I have no room for 25 chicks!

Heck, I can barely handle what I have now!

Hopefully I can convince her that she's already been broody once this year and doesn't need any more babies.

Hello all you New Yorkers! I am over run with roosters!! Does anyone need a rooster? I have 2- 3 month old Dominiques, 2 Canadian Chanticlers, 2 Black Cochin Mixes, 2 handsome wheaten Americaunas. I also have 3- 8 week old Buff orpington boys, a 4 month old pure white Olive egger (BCM and auricauna mix) How it came out white I have no Idea, came from a dark brown egg and his brother looks just like a BCM with a pea comb. Last but not least I have 1- 6 month old Black jersey giant mix. I live in Orange county NY, near the Ulster county line. I can meet or you can come pick up but I dont ship the fowl. Asking $10.00 each. thanks

Hi New Yorkers. I am in Bethany, NY located smack in between Rochester and Buffalo. I have an Amercauna, six Buff Orps, and 7 Australorps (one being a roo). Can't add anymore to my flock at this point, but maybe next year!!!! Would love to check out the Springville Auction someday.
