Anybody on Long Island? Was at the pullorum clinic, only 4 people! There's gotta be more of you out there....And remember to do the "chicken math", where I am, I am only allowed 6 hens....HAH!!! And hello again to the nice man from Bay Shore, if you are on this site. Loved the Moderns, very pretty! I have a young man at work with me, will eat your unwanted roos. Hate to do it, but he is a blessing... in Smithtown. I am setting him up with some birds, so he can make his own!!!

All summer tons now I need them and no luck...I NEED A BROODY...can you believe I said that..DH will kill me if I get the bator out...but the eggs are Lavender Cochin and SLW..

Altamont Fair is next week. Between my 2 DD and I we have 30 chickens entered in it. How to wash and keep clean until we coop in on Sunday? Haven't figured that out yet. May just wash and bring in some on Sunday and the rest on Monday. We have crafts to complete, DD has a pie to bake and tomorrow she is going to be a Jr. Superintendant and assist with the 4H entries while I put shavings in the cages and do the final cleaning. Fairs are so fun, great to see people I only get to see once a year and chat chicken talk. If anyone plans on going I am there just about all day everyday in the Poultry Barn or at the Chick Follies. That is a a fun exhibit! There is an incubator with chicks hatching and a "amusement park" for the chicks, complete with a Ferris Wheel and a bunch of other moving rides for the "kids" to play on (yes, I mean chicks).

Also, don't forget about the Poultry Picnic at my house in Voorheesville on August 27. Really easy to get to, just off of the Northway and easy off of the Thruway and I-88. Please come! Link to the thread in my signature.
