Thanks!
I'm working on egg color. I've culled everyone to just the hens who laid a 6 or better egg, & the pullets& cockerels that hatched from those eggs.
I 'm anxiously waiting to see the egg color the new pullets lay, and then pair them with the cockerels from dark eggs.

I just successfully integrated eight week olds into a flock of POL pullets + one roo, but I had them in a large dog cage in the coop 24x7 for about 10 days prior. I think I got lucky, but there have been no problems. Usually I wait until 12-15 weeks when they are large enough to defend themselves.

I hope to be NPip by this fall. I'm not sure if I'll have eggs but I currently have a couple pairs for sale. Their pictures are a couple pages back.

If I didn't have to drive all the way back to Tn that would be great LOL...long ride smelling birds

do you guys let them out at night? or just any time. do you keep them all inside or just let them run in and out.

here are some of the birds i have them in the coop but up in an above pen. so the girls have seen them for over a month but they are still about half the size of my big girls.

i have barred rock , RIR, EE, black star, hamburg and the barred and the RIR tend to be the head of the flock

these are the ones i would like to integrete
