a good one for the goat...too cute..

Went to the fair. LF shown. Some crappy birds OMG. Picked at birds and just ruffled up feathers. Same nice large buff frizzles though. Not that I could tell a nice frizzle from one that isn't. Any type of frizzleing is good to me. Silkys tie died.

I suppose since I don't show I shouildn't complain but I figure possible newbies would be turned off by bad looking birds. I just figure why bring birds with picked off feathers and dirty birds. Sad, just sad.

Breeds weren't labeled well either. Of course if you know breeds your good. I liked the Orloffs. They were nice and big. I will say that. Some birds were nice and big.

Anyhow that's my take,

Marquisella! Those eggs are gorgeous!!! I am very impressed! I have 2 BCM hens and their egg color is dark, but nowhere near that! I am also in central NY - any culls you'd be interested in selling? PM me if you are interested in selling any culls or hatching eggs!

Nice Milo, way to go. Cute, very cute. There are some really good pics on this site and I can think of hundreds of greeting card lines to go with them.

For this one I'd put Milo's pic on the front and in the inside say, "Enjoy your birthday just don't get carried away like Milo. You could end up in the slammer"

Or , "Milo always gets so excited about his birthday cake he had to be restrained." " Don't be a Milo".

Tim, I didn't get to the fair until almost 2:30, so missed you.

My thoughts exactly. What a sad showing of birds!

I couldn't believe my eyes. Most looked like they were snatched from the breeding pen. Some hens with bare heads & backs. What were they thinking?

Yes, the buff Frizzles were huge!

even the pond has fewer birds swimming in it...definitely a disappoiintment.
