I heard folks have used duct tape but being a NN she is horribly with out feathers...duct tape on skin?! The funny thing is I never see a rooster near her?! I did buy her that way...she hasn't gotten better and lays a good size egg..I just want her to have feathers...I am going out now with the duct tape...wish her luck...

He's still kinda small for an orpington, although he's got all his plumage. The two girls I kept with him are still without combs, so he's not interested in them. I think he's shy because he's got Leo (the fickle EE) putting him in his place. I'll probably need to get rid of one of them eventually unless they can work out who gets which ladies.

I saw pumpkinhead (the BO) checking out the spurned younger ladies today, so maybe they'll switch.

One of the ones I gave you could be a NHR, as I seem to have a NHR (ish) lady here. Not sure where I got her from - must have been that mixed egg lot.

That's funny...Leo was the BO's daddy, his brother is Leon. Leon is normal sized, some of his hatchmates are smallish, including 2 other roos. We, or rather I, am still deciding which of the young roos to keep, Leon or Lil bro or whatshisname. The light brahmas (collectively called "the Scuttles") just got into their own pen with the cochin (Jammy pants) and fav (Sami). I got a "fart" egg from them the other day

The Scuttles are so red-faced, hope to be collecting real eggs very soon.

No roo in there with them yet, until the cochin/brahma (Cochise) gets a bit bigger.

Well, here's Punkinhead and his ladyfriend - as you can see, she's still not mature enough for either roo to mess with her much. Cute couple!

Leo (the other roo) and his 'borrowed' ladies. He's out and about while the BO is under a bush nearby.

Some of Leo's flockmates that he runs off and leaves each day.. poor ladies
