My mom and stepdad gave me a great chicken-keeper gift. It's a baseball cap with three LED lights in the bill. You can have two little forward-facing lights, one brighter light that shines downward, or all three. I wore that bad boy out to the coop for a chicken-check when we got home, and it was great - hands-free lighting for the win!

My recent copy of the ALBC newsletter has an article about the "Butterfield" Cafe in Deposit , NY . Has anyone been there? I'm considering asking DW to make the drive it's 2 1/2 hours away but I like to support fellow chicken keepers. The pic looks nice.

I got 4 eggs yesterday and 2 eggs today....I am soooo excited. The chickens are going start laying again, I just know it.
