Looking forward to the pics.

Just shut the front of coop halfway as we are losing the sun here.

Just having the sun in the coop without the wind warmed it up enough to scrape the poo off the floor.

Oh, the things we find joy in, huh?

the things we find joy in.....so true....people at work think I am totally nuts with my chickens and chicken ventures........Hoop coop...chicken tractor.......AI with chickens.......I am very thankful that I have people like all of you who who SO get it....I/d think I was nuts too!.....

Happy new year!!!

Do you really want to get me started on what I think is nuts? I'm old and I gotta list as long as my chicken run. No , not what I think is nuts, what I KNOW is nuts.

I wish us all a happy and prosperous (more money for more chickens) NEW YEAR,

Rancher

I love blue eggs. I've got 2 EE's that lay blue, and 2 Sumatra's that lay blueish eggs. They are quite cool, and a real hit with kids around Easter.

I'm always interested in chicks. I have morehens disease..... lol

My Sumatra's are pretty self sufficient breeding machines. Feeds my addiction.....

chicks chicks chicks!! I hope I get chicks from the NYD hatch or I'll be begging for chicks soon.

Anyone else hatching today/tomorrow just in case I only end up with one chick? LOL.

Pox chicken is drinking! a little too much. I discovered she'll drink sugar water like she just got back from the desert so now she'd drinking dry milk powder with sugar and water and vitamins. Not the best thing, but better than nothing!

Anyone going to first night in Saratoga? I keep thinking I should, then not ending up going and just watching the ball drop on tv. Was in NYC last NYE and was there yesterday but I don't want to go through those crowds again!

I have the opposite disease. I have gohens disease. Neighbor needs more hens to bring her flock more into ratio for the roos she has (too small to eat, yet). So I am giving her 2 of my hens....cuz they came from the exact same enabler as her current flock.

BUT!!!! Do not fret, sweet friends of mine....it's all part of my master plan. My coop is FULL. VERY full. So with my plan to sell one roo in the spring and giving her 2 hens I have room for at LEAST 5 new birds in the spring...RIGHT? See, sometimes gohens disease is a good thing.

And Stonykill? I soooo want some eggs when I get a broody. I can either trade you eating eggs or I can give you cash. I really, really want some chickens in my trees. (And I have the cash from Christmas to get what I want.)
