NY chicken lover!!!!

Do you mean the one on the right is the BXS? The one on the left should be a Silver Ameraucana. I am so happy that it came out blue

Hopefully alot of the ones I have in the bators will come out the same way. If the white ones have a comb like these ones that means they are pea combed and should lay a blue egg.
yes, the one on the right(the grey one) duh!!!! All the combs look the same at this stage. Blue eggs!

good luck with the rest. We need to make arrangements for her delivery. I am in no rush whatsoever. Or she is welcome to say, whichever you prefer.

I have quite a few girls who lay blue eggs, and one olive colored egg. Makes the dozens look interesting

If we get a bunch of blue ones, you can keep her and breed to a silver roo and hopefully get some blue silvers. That is my my plan at least. Congrats on the good hatch!!

Well so far it's two EE's and one del. A couple more CR's have pipped but so far no hatches. I really want them to hatch. They knocked over the thermometer but judging by the fact that the temp was good or higher it should be fine. I hope. I'm going to take something to help me sleep or otherwise I'll be up all night.

CR?

Morning all! Woke up to 3 inches of snow and its still coming. Nice heavy wet stuff so I will get quite the workout this morning shoveling out my driveway. My girls are going to be soooo mad when I open the pop door and they see the evil white stuff in their run. Yesterday it was almost 60! Oh, and I am still waiting for my rims so my snow tires are in the trunk of my car rather than on my car. I have decided to keep my silkies locked up a couple of days so the girls learn to lay eggs inside the coop, not in the run. At least, I am hoping they learn that.

I hope your cr hatch Rancher. I would love to see pics of them if they do. I looked at ordering them but my dh wanted production so thats what we ordered. However, that doesnt negate getting any in the future when the older hens need replacing (hehehe). Time will tell.

Everyone be safe on the roads today. I am hoping this crap starts melting by the time I have to go to work. Of course if it does, I will be mad busy at work!

Almost forgot...DH tells me he let it slip at work that we ordered more chickens. I guess he was getting strange looks from his coworkers like he had lost his mind and was a chicken freak. I told him they are all just jealous because we will be eating well and they have to buy inferior eggs. I told him there were lots of manly men on here like Rancher who have lots of chickens and nobody messes with him!
