NY chicken lover!!!!

The last time I had the peeps wandering around outside the run, I had to run into the house through the back door for a minute. When I came back out, there were four of them trying to peer through the screen door. Nosy things.

This reminds me of the dream Alan said he had the other night. He hates all things zombie, but, because zombies are fashionable, he can't avoid them. So, the other night he dreamed that we had zombies attacking the house. Because they couldn't get to us, they went after the chickens. The chickens then became zombie chickens and came after us. They surrounded the house and were tapping on all the doors and windows trying to get in to eat us. I said that somebody needs to make a zombie chicken movie - I'd go see it!

Feathers -n- Happy - I meant for buyers. I don't buy or haven't only once which is why I was surprised when I saw a negative. I hadn't updated e-mail address for anything since 2005.

Happy - If you can give your girls an egg or two to hatch they may never go broody again. I've had hens go broody once and then that was it. If you can just give the chicks away. That's what I do. You can give the chicks away after she breaks from being broody.

Now little Frenchy hasn't laid in quite some time but wasn't sitting on eggs either, but for some reason she decided to sit and I let her. She' s the only one left of my original flock. I don't know what I'll do when she goes. yeah I do.

Now I saw a thing in a magazine where they turned one of those old metal crib into an indoor coop, and we do have one but DW says NO!

Everyone else --- I have two SFH roosters if anyone is interested. Out of 6 chicks 4 are roosters. Only one has a crest and I'm keeping him. Now I can give you my word to give you some eggs to hatch when the girls are laying if you do buy one of these roos.

Nite nite.

was surfing through Craigslist, and for the Silkie seekers I seen an ad posted in the Finger Lakes section on April 2, Silkies for $5 in Phelps.

If it was 5 years ago don't even worry. I'm a big time ebayer and I wouldn't have a problem with it.

So I called EBay about a negative post thingie on my account , which I haven't used in years and ti was placed 5 years ago and how do I get it taken off.

Well you can only do it up to 90 days and you just have to create a new account. Isn't that nice?

So my question is why bother tagging someone with a negative feedback when they can just create a new account?

Rancher; My girl Mac is the last of my original 3 and noticed she was not acting right yesterday. Has diarrhea and this morning won't come out of the coop. I fell very sad... What a way to start the day.

My son is a writer (mainly horror) I'll pass your suggestion on to him.Has a novella out right now;" Tribesmen" . His novel "Video Night" will be out the beginning of next year. Nothing moves fast in the publishing business . Unfortunately Alan can't read either of them...Zombies and other creatures....He is very good if I do say so myself

The little chick died last night. I am not really sad because it was a lone chick and very noisy and I just don't need any more chicks, really. I am worried tho, cuz it was one of my Ameruacana eggs and the chick seemed to not be able to swallow. I think my silkie is broody again, so I may put some eggs under her this weekend.

I am sorry. Remember I have 3 of yours due this weekend. I'll let you know how they are as soon as they hatch.

I'm really getting excited for this coming week after Easter. Taking the kids to TS to get the Chick-N-Hutch they have there as well as the run. I read some reviews on it about how it's not all that weather proof so I'm going to spend the week altering it a bit to make sure it can withhold the rain/snow come winter. Also going to try to get started with some chicks this week. The kids have been begging and begging! If I have to start by getting 6 at TS due to finding no one close by to get 2-3 from I will. I'll just have to post an ad on CL or something or maybe even ask my neighbors if she wants the extra. This is going to be a very small hobby so I really didn't want to start out with all 6 at once.

Dont worry 3 will turn into 30 soon enough =]
