Annie has some. I think she even said she had chicks for sale.... Her Real Name is Happyhensny....give her an message her, but give her time to reply, cuz she's at the altamont fair this week. Her Daughter was on the front page of the Times Union today.

Thanks Cass! Hubby isn't really head over heels about the chickens, like me and girls are(Crazy chicken lovers). Last night he just up and said "Wanna get some peacocks?" Imagine my surprise,I almost fell off the sofa, of course I said "Sure!" Maybe he's crossed over to the dark side....

Yep. I often call him an easter egger, but folks on here say he's an ameraucana (which is what he was supposed to be). Came from a pretty blue egg. My other main rooster is an EE and while he of course crows, it's deeper and less annoying, plus he does it a lot less. No neighbors have shown up with pitchforks yet, but I bet it's coming. LOL.

My Lav Amer roos and EE's hens are throwing blacks that look like Amers and I have a Blue from them, but I still let people know their mother is an EE. I can't say what they will look like once they are crossed back to the Lav roo though.

My Lav Amer roos and EE's hens are throwing blacks that look like Amers and I have a Blue from them, but I still let people know their mother is an EE. I can't say what they will look like once they are crossed back to the Lav roo though.

Well, the eggs were not mine and the seller (a fellow BYC'er) sent some eggs that were supposed to be pure americauna - and he's got the proper color, including the leg color, BUT just to be safe I call him EE.

Everytime I do that on byc, however, I get corrected - so he's one or the other, not sure which. But he does meet americauna standards, or so I am told. However, I don't show chickens, don't plan on it ever so it doesn't matter to me. He's purty (but LOUD).
