NY chicken lover!!!!

Oh my! My new roo just went after my little girl! One thing I will not tolerate is a mean rooster!

She was no where near him or any hens, he literally walked over to her and acted aggresively. Grrr!
What breed?

Ok so I need some thoughts/opinions on what to do with my daughter's silkie hen (Rainbow Star/Paris) after all this talk about my wanting to separate the silkies from the orpingtons. I know it's only been about a week since I've been doing this but I need to know how to proceed. The two new silkies (Chloe and Duncan) are doing just fine in the new coop/run. It's our original silkie I'm having an issue with. She has grown up with the orpingtons up until this last weekend. Started laying a couple of days ago, however she will only lay in the other coop.

Everymorning I let the orps out to free range, the silkies are kept in the run. When I open the coop up for them and let them into the run, Paris always seems to want out, of course because she has been free ranging for the past couple of months now. So I let her out, she runs to the other coop, goes into the nestbox that favored by all, lays an egg and then ventures out to meet up with the orps. Yesterday I had every intention in keeping her in the run/coop with the other silkies until she started squawking away. And I thought Shoot, she wants to lay an egg and refuses to do it on that coop. So I let her, she ran to other coop, layed the egg and I let free range for the rest of the afternoon/evening. Should I just leave her with her original flock and just keep the new silkie pair to themselves? Should I keep her in with the silkies and give her no choice but to lay in there? I feel so bad, like I took her away from her "family", who have been good to her so far, but I'm just worried about that lavender roo trying to eventually mate with her and possibly hurting her. Also, I would rather her stick with the silkie roo so if I do get any fertile silkie eggs, they are pure silkie chicks (if any hatch) and not silkie/orpington mix. If I do this will she continue to refuse to lay in there? Could she hurt herself by holding off on laying an egg that is ready to be layed? If that makes any sense...

What do you all think?

Anyone on here that can shuttle a roo up to Marquisella from NYC? I am out on Long Island, and was just wondering if there is anyone that does any traveling between Vernon and say..Westchester?
It's just the round trip would be over 10 hrs for me.
Please let either of us know if you can. Thanks!

I might be able to help in the middle section of that trip if you can get someone else to pick it up from me...I am in rockland and wouldn't mind grabbing it from westchester and dropping it near poughkeepsie or something like that...if it falls into my schedule...best wishes :)

That's about 1/3 of the way there....would work out quite well.
When? The next few weeks are crazy hectic for me, but that trip would be good.
Do you two know each other, or would she have to work out a shuttle for her end too?
Thank you for the quick response.

Hmmm OK you are in the middle, too.
I need to make a map of all involved, and try to make this work.
What we won't do for a stinkin rooster!
Thank you, too!
