NYDH Contest #3 - An Opportune Time Award

I feel like a horrible mommy! I let my 4 month olds coop door open this morn and they ventured out to free range, dh let dogs our to potty and my four year old says daddy what is Zoe and Bailey (lab and boxer) playing with? yes, it was three of my beloved youngsters! so there should be a rule...ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ask if chickens are out before you let dogs potty!! I miss those sweet little ones already...rest in peace babies...no dogs will ever mess with you again!

Aw I'm sorry!! My dog leaves the chickens and chicks alone, but he has killed two quail and mauled two others that exacted from their pen. I had to put on out of its suffering, it seemed like everything in its body was broken, and the other fully recovered. Oh, and the dog killed one turkey poult. He had no intention of ever hurting any of them, just thought he was playing, dumb puppy. He would pounce on them. I don't know why he leaves the chicks alone though, I guess he loves the quail because they fly and he likes to chase

Sharpie boy

This is why I figured it was okay to use Sharpies on eggs. When my daughter was in 4th grade she would come home from school with Sharpie drawings all over her arms. No matter how many times I told her not to do it she always had her "tatoos." She is turning 18 next week and no damage from the sharpies.
