I feel stupid...what's bloom?

No feeling stupi, it's not allowed. Bloom is a protective coating on the outside of a shell, supposed to keep bacteria in check. Looks kinda chalky.

My dog Winnie is going to have puppies any time now. I thought it was going to be yesterday, but it was a false alarm. They'll be Porkies!!! No, I'm not kidding, Pom/ Yorkies.
