That is a coturnix -or pharaoh- quail. They are superb layers but aren't like chickens. They are NOT really sociable or friendly.

I was trying to take pics of my beautiful blue sept babies and all they did was want to peck me and the camera!! stinkers!!!
so I threw some crack down and this is what I got then

Ok, just thought I would ask! I haven't really decided what I am going to add for breeding. I may just keep the one welsummer pullet for spotty eggs... And get isbars and legbars instead.
