Wrong. The president has the authority to send troops anywhere in the world. I believe it is about 90 days before the president needs Congressional approval. That means the president can fight wars on his own, as long as the wars are short.

Wrong. The president does not have that authority. The Constitution is explicit that going to war is under the authority of Congress, not the president. You're thinking of the BS War Powers act that says, essentially, "Screw the Constitution." Every single war after WWII has been unconstitutional. The president cannot legally send troops wherever the heck he wants.

In the words of Ron Paul: "If you're going to go to war, do it the right way; go through Congress. This is war! People are going to DIE!"

Morally and Constitutionally, we cannot permit one man to decide to kill thousands by himself. Heck, Roosevelt even went to Congress for a declaration of war against Japan!

Where did you get your information cupman? It has gotten more and more difficult for law abiding citizens such as myself to own or use a weapon to defend themselves or their property! The outlaws will always have guns.They don't buy them through legal channels. When I say weapon I don't mean only firearms. A metal nail file in the right hands is a weapon!

For the sake of honesty, I must say - I did some research, and it appears that Rick Santorum did not, in fact, vote in favor of an assault weapons ban. He has a less-than-stellar gun rights record (Gun Owners of America gives him a B-. Not terrible, but not good, either.), but he did not sink to that level. Just wanted to clear that up.

Gun control of any type will not make it through congress any time soon as it is a well known losing issue. The only way that I see it ever happening is through executive orders and I believe that we will see efforts like that in a 2nd term of this president.
