Heya folks.
I'm pretty terrible at introductions, but I'm happy to be here. :)

(1) Are you new to chickens?

-Not at all. My family had chickens growing up, mostly araucanas and Rhode Island reds (with a few others) as well as a couple of ducks.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
-
None! I can't keep chickens at the moment so I'm going with a very small flock of quail.
In the future however, I'd like both chickens and ducks.

(3) What breeds do you have?
-With luck, some coturnix will hatch out of these eggs I'm incubating. But the eggs were in rough shape when I got them, so we'll see if any actually make it.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
-Having only had chickens and ducks in the past and never having incubated anything myself, I started to research and ask lots of questions of my search engine. BackYardChickens.com kept coming up time and time again.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
- I might have achieved an unhealthy amount of hobbies. if I tried to list them all we'd be here all day. But I do enjoy gardening, fish keeping, hiking, and doing just about anything that involves learning.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
-Living here, it's just me and the fiance, we live with two large senior cats, but we plan to expand with the aforementioned coturnix and fish.
I've worked largely in the entertainment field, but I'm trying to move into more illustrative work possibly in the sciences.
