I need support until I can get more chickens! I currently have 7 nine week old chickens, unfortunately only 2 are pullets and I can’t keep any cockerels. But! At some point in the next year hopefully we will be moving which means more chickens! And some ducks and also guinea fowl

Just to add-I also have turkeys and we were talking about possibly getting ducks in the next few years. Probably not anymore though.

He's so beautiful! Here I am, loving roosters, and I can't keep them in a town. Then people who hate roosters CAN keep them! So annoying

Started with 12 about 11 years ago. I had 4, mom and 4 and brother had 4. 9 females and 3 males (mom and me got sexlinks, brother got st run).

We didn't build for a specific number, I guess we planned for 12? We eyeballed the coop and said that it looked big enough (to this day i have yet to actually measure it).

Now I (and mom partially) are the sole providers for the birds and I'm close to 100. But that number is constantly changing as males appear and disapper, and hens go broody and hatch chicks and as I buy more birds
