Octagonal coop build :D

absolutly no practical usage at all..... it was a PITA to figure out the angles and I fancied challenging myself.
My wife said she wanted a mushroom shaped coop this was the closest I could do :D
I usually do crazy builds and projects that others can't believe or understand but just what I conjure in my own mind. I always have good reasons to do so but maybe, subconsciously, I'm just trying to make things hard on myself. :idunno

You did an outstanding job for a first carpentry project...
..the next one should be a breeze!
Am guessing you have other fabrication and/or design experience?

Oh, and...Welcome to BYC! @vimes1984
Here how to add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, (laptop version shown), then it's always there!

I have no other Fabrication or Design experience, I'm a Web programmer by trade and I don't usually build "real" things with my hands in the real world :p
Thanks for the pointer I'll update my profile!
and thanks for the compliments.

the heat in the summer is NOT a problem here I live in the north of Ireland.
Two of the walls are actually doors that open up completly for easy cleaning :D
regarding the ventilation the whole part beneath the roof had holes in it to ventilate the whole thing :D
I did a lot of reading prior to building.
Picture of one of the big doors opened attached
Well, you did an awesome job on it, as they say over here it's built like a brick (well you know)... Still trying to figure out why the wife wanted it to look like a mushroom... but she picked a winner when she got you!
