Yesterday was day 13. Temps in the Bator went crazy. Water wiggler temp went up to 101.5. But then my 6 year old slept on the floor next to the Bator lastnight. It's a Brower top hatch. In her sleep she kicked it against the wall so it couldn't turn. Also the Temps in the house got too cold, so water wiggler temps dropped to 97.7. Inside the incubator it was 100.0. So I think the low temperature in the wiggler was from it not turning
Either way it was a stressful early morning for me, but the Turner is once again working, and temps are up. (Now to stabilize them since I cranked it too high when temps were low).![]()
And things were going so smooth this hatch. I hope I didn't kill them. I will candle tonight since it's day 14!.
update....I candled and saw movement in all 18 eggs! Celebrating that I have had zero quitters thus far, despite my short comings as a broody hen.
