Thank you! I am so happy!Ummm... can't quite put away the incubator yet. Just had some Silver Laced Wyandotte eggs arrive by mail. They feel cold, so I am going to let them sit in a nice warm room for a day or two while my Silkies finish hatching.![]()

That is great to hear! Looking forward to seeing all your Australorps in the spring - with new and exciting colors!Sure thing you will see me then! I will be hatching not only the Blue Australorps out again, but also some of the splash and maybe some blacks too. All of them Australorps of course!
Thanks for the reassurance. The photo just made it look off. It's perfectly symmetrical, after all, and the other chick also has the vaulted skull. The chicks are so perky! I have the brooder all ready and want to take them out of the incubator... but I have two other eggs pipped, so I guess I shouldn't open it. The humidity is up around 90, though... so maybe I could?
Fluffiness!!! They are likely marked with the color pen they are from. White silkies can hatch other colors and sometimes paint chicks don't have spots!?
I have some fluffiness going on too. I think I have nine chicks in the brooder and some left in the incubator. They seem extra fluffy today!
Oh, my! One of my chicks with a big, saddle-shaped air shell just exploded out of the egg. Yay for another healthy chick!! Two other chicks have been very slowly pipping and starting to unzip over the last 12 hours, in a most genteel fashion. Cassius has been rocking for an hour with no visible pip.... I leave the room for 15 minutes, and come back to find that chick tumbling out of its shell!
Very happy with my little Korean incubator and my shipped eBay eggs. Three vigorous chicks so far...
