October 2016 Hatch-A-Long!!

Well, I candled the eggs tonight. Some of the eggs look like there is something inside while others still look like just an yolk in there. I put the lid back on the incubator, and I'll wait a few more days and see if anything is different.

Sounds promising!

I set 4 crossbreed bantam eggs last Thursday. Should hatch the 13th. First time hatching so so excited!

OMG! I just couldn't resist and just added 9 more of those eggs in there. I marked them though so I can tell them apart. I also have a divider I can put in there when it's time to remove them from the automatic turner. Hoping for lots of blue babies to get the breed going over here!

One of the cheap chinese ones with an extra thermometer and hygrometer. Just a question should the air cell be at the bottom or the top?

It is such a waste to run an incubator without putting as many eggs as possible in it. Think how efficient you are being!

Got fat end up but one is really difficult to tell which end is the big end. I think the air cell is supposed to be down?

Oh yes, considering that the automatic egg turner has 41 egg slots in it.
