Lol. My pips from this morning are resting too. Hoping they get back to work before bedtime. I need some sleep!

Mine appears to be back at it again making a little progress... Hope it's not the only one... 13 due tomorrow and 5 for Thursday only one hatchling would be a bummer!!

I hatched a pile of silkies and got them into the brooder today! Last two were out this morning. I just lost one because it was malpositioned and its yolk ruptured, poor thing. 16 silkies!! I didn't get a paint showgirl, turned out to be a clean neck lavender showgirl and it's so cute! Must. Keep. It.....!!!

what a beautiful hatch. I currently am dealing with a malpositioned chick. It ruptured it's yolk sac too!!! I was going to help it but put it back in the incubator when I saw yolk. 30 minutes later it zipped. Just waiting for it to push out now so I can assess it's condition. When did your chick perish?

Wierd! My chick didn't make it out of the egg, just partly unzipped. I tried to help it a little and then saw the yolk I have never had a ruptured yolk before, that I am aware of.

awe, I am sorry it didn't make it. I am worried about this one. I am so surprised it zipped. It is resting, unzipped. It has not pushed the shell off yet for me to see. I don't want to rush it, giving it the best chance to absorb what it can.
