Thank you for the well wishes! After another hour or so, I decided to help again. The membrane had restuck to the chick's back. I used some neosporin to moisten it, but had to keep working around it. I broke the egg away and there's still membrane stuck to the fluff! The navel was red and sticks out a little, so I put the ointment there, too. I cleared off the vent, just in case. The right eye was stuck shut, so I washed it as best I could and carefully tried to clear away any goo. It's opening a little now.![]()
This chick has been dubbed Sticky. Not sure if Sticky will fluff up enough to tell the pattern (legbars are autosexing). But, the first three look like females, and Sticky can be what it is.![]()
