That's what confused me. I looked at the comb and it's much smaller than my other BR chicks, but definitely a single, not a rose. It's just the oddest-marked BR I've ever seen. I have 11 BR chicks in the brooder and have hatched tons of them before and this is the oddest little oddball. Oh, well, maybe it wanted to outdo its mom in being a strange bird. If you are familiar with Lexie, you know what I mean, LOL.
I do, however, have a single-combed SLW...Lorelei has a floppy single comb. Hmm, Parker, what would happen if she was the mother of this baby?
