Odd Cat Tastes

MY cat eats cat food. That's all I feed him. He and I have an understanding, he catches anything that shouldn't be in the house, I feed him cat food and give him rubs. Nowhere in this equation does Flan ever come into play.

I only give my kitty cat food too (except on holidays and her birthday). She has become quite talented at stealing food from anyone who is not paying attention. She used to stand on the window sill behind my DD's chair when she was little. DD would bring the drumstick to her mouth and the cat would grab a bite over her shoulder. She is fast and sneaky. She also can't just catch and eat things because she is not a normal cat. She is allergic to rats and has to have cortizone shots if she goes anywhere near a place one has been (found out when I had pet rats).

Oh and Em, I'm sure your kitty would love flan too. The kind from scratch.... not the mushy boxed stuff.

Green anole lizards, glass snakes (or any other small snake in the yard), mole crickets and cicadas are his most frequent eats.

But he won't even eat shrimp nor most fish.

I have a cat named Taco that is most highly offended by catnip. How dare I offend her senses by offering her such insulting cuisine. However, when I open the dog treat jar, she is first in line.

Not an "odd" treat...but we used to get those dehydrated raw chicken treats from Costco that were pure chicken breast for the dog. My 5 year old cat, who was barely 3 months old at the time, learned to "sit" and "sit pretty" for one! He was very upset when they stopped carrying them.

He won't touch a "normal" cat treat with a 10' pole! I have bags and bags of cat treats, and now, neither cat will go near them.

We had a cat that passed away a few years ago that went totally bonkers of french fries, but only the ones from McDonald's...she would steal an entire container of them if we didn't catch her! Her favorite "treat" was to get to lick the salt off the plate my SO would dump his onto, lol.
