Odd Eatings

Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich! Yum!!! I think it's a regional east coast thing, but diners will serve brown gravy over french fries if you ask for it. Some actually have it on the menu and sometimes you can get fries, gravy and melted mozzerella cheese!

I'm too scared to eat anything that's not "traditional" so I guess the weirdest thing I eat is a toasted pickle sandwich. Sliced dill pickles, mayo on toast.

Cold Yak tongue sandwich.

Beaver roast

Brains and scrambled eggs

Fish eggs scrambled with chicken eggs

Turtle

I dont know if other do this or not. But alot of people around here dip their grilled cheese sandwhiches in tomatoe soup.

Some people did this while eatting at a restaurant and their was tourists there and they thought it was gross.

So is it just my area???? Or are their others out there that eat it too.

ETA: I have eaten turtle and did not care for it much. I've also had bbq raccoon. That is good stuff.

My dad grew up poor. Born in 1937. Hunting and fishing was a big way the family was fed. Little was wasted. Everything that could be caught or shot could be eaten. I was raised to try everything. Lots of good food out there if you're willing to try it. Some not so good. No more cold yak tongue sandwiches for me. Tongue should be served hot with ketchup
