Looks like it could have been early stages of "Lash Egg" (Salpingitis) which is an inflammation of the oviduct. I've never seen one with thick liquid in it (they are usually more "solid"). It sounds like you caught whatever it is early and by treating with antibiotics and extra vitamins you were able to battle infection.

I'm glad to hear she is still around and doing well:)

thanks guys, she lays somewhat normal, for a serama lol - young hen- never been a recurrence lol so maybe infection of some sort?
 
I am thinking maybe it was an infection...That is one unusual egg! I don't think I've seen one like that before. I am also glad to here she's okay, it sounds like you did a good job taking care of her.
 
this is the darling, she is a special needs serama with a twisted beak, and has raised some silkies for me lol
