I think it was the very first egg my black sex link laid. It sat in the coop for no more than a couple days before I saw it. When I discovered it I put it with other eggs, and now finally I started to use it in some scrambled eggs this morning. Upon cracking it, I found that the yolk was solid around the edges, and very pale yellow, like a soft boiled egg, with the center being darker color and more runny. The white part, of which there was very little, was still runny. Not like a soft boiled egg. There was no smell to it. The egg itself was very small, and the yolk took up almost all the space.
Has anyone ever run into this before? I threw it away not realizing I might want a picture. I'm just wondering if this was a "first egg anomaly" or something to do with it laying around a couple days out in the hot sun.
