Odd head wound/lump/knot?!?

Really isn't a treatment..., I suppose you could spend big bucks for a surgery, like people have. But being on the head I would worry about the brain.
If it was me I would have to poke around in there and see what it is. LOL
I wouldn't use it for breeding.

Yes parasitic twin
Yeah, I am going to wait till he/she has a full day of antibiotics in their system then poke it. Was really hoping to just find a bot fly larvae and pull it out but as hard as it is, I am thinking bot fly is unlikely. I will post some pic updates tomorrow when I check it. I am learning that turkey are WAY more finicky than chickens...at least in my experience so far lol

So I promised some update pics...it has now officially gotten weirder. Went out and cornered him (I think anyway...) and scooped him up to check it out. Looked the same as yesterday but when I poked at it with a finger it felt flat. Little bit of manipulation and this came loose.

First image is the top, second is the bottom. The yellow spot on the bottom side was "attached" for lack of better term. The whole disc shaped thing left a pocket in the skin on his head that had clear oozing liquid coming out. I got out all of that I could and packed it full of Neosporin. There is still a piece of that yellow bit you see on the underside in there, but his stress level was so high I went ahead and let him go. I can go back in later this afternoon with some forceps and see if I can remove it. Zero blood or bleeding.

This seem any more diagnostic to anyone? I almost wonder if it was a splinter or something of said nature and this is the enveloped foreign body. When the baby wakes up I will get my dissecting scope out and see if I can ascertain anything from the...thing.

*Update* so tore it apart under scope. It makes no sense. The mass is made of what appears to be fat & blood which basically would mean a scab? There doesn't appear to be any feathers except at the very surface where they seem caught in the scab-esque material. The yellowish underneath however is a stacked set of scales (reminds me of super thin fish scales or hair scales) which could be a miss growth of feathers?
