my pullet, Ella, is moving her neck in odd ways that I've never seen before. She had/has mites that we're going to treat with DE (we bathed her a few days ago), and now her neck is making the odd movements. First, she jerks the base of her neck (around where the crop is) to the right then moves the rest of her neck to the right. Then it goes back to normal. When I set her down, she jerked her whole neck down for a second, then it returned to normal. She isn't making as much noise as she used to either and her peeps sound a little wierd. She's 18 weeks old (I think) and she's a Light Brahma pullet. When I open the door, she runs to the other side (she used to love me, but that's changed :/) and then she starts rubbing against the other side, pushing her head and neck against the wall. I'll get a video of both later today. But, what is this? An injury? A disease? Is it deadly?
