One of my pullets started doing this recently. At first I thought she was tracking a fly overhead, that's what it looked like. But there was no fly, and she has been doing it on and off since then. What is this? I read that wry neck is caused by deficiencies in the diet or a head injury. The pullet doesn't look or act injured - aside from the occasional twist, she's eating, drinking, moving around and begging for treats as usual. She's 24 weeks old (not laying yet). My chickens don't free range and eat a grower/finisher crumble feed, with the occasional bunch of greens I tie up for them and some scratch as treats. Their favorite treat is their usual feed, mixed with water to form a mash. So if they're eating regular feed and not much else, and the feed is supposed to have all the nutrients they need, how is she getting deficient? (if that's what it is) What should I do?
