Had to comment on our weather last week. We went from 100's in the day and high 70's at night (which means no one is comfy, especially the veggie garden) to 80's in the day and high 60's at night. This lasted 5 WHOLE days. Lovely respite, for sure. New growth on the roses and tomatoes are blossoming again. But....it went from 82 to 102 overnight again. So here we go, dog days of August. Watering twice a day....which reminds me....I think that is why crops are growing but not fruiting. I'm having to water so much just to keep zukes, cukes, beans and peppers from wilting. Here's to a milder Sept.
