I have an Olive egger who is just feral. She is a wellsummer and cream legbar mix. She chirps, squawks, whistles, honks and tweets! As a chick she would chirp in her sleep constantly talking. She eats enough for two chickens. She pecks at my boots and will let me hold her but not long and she is mouthy the whole time she is being fed. She feathered out fast and is pretty big. She will take on one of my biggest birds if I’m giving scrambled eggs as a treat. And flies like a regular bird! What is this madness? Has anyone had the same experience with the same mix? She also leads the others into the garden, ate all my cayenne peppers and the leaves on them.

I do not have this mix, but I do have a Welsummer that is a mouth for sure, always has something to say about everything! And I have an F3 OE (not sure what she is mixed with) her name is Prue, but my DH calls her Rick James because of her enormous comb and waddles, she is wild and not to be trifled with. When I got my first cockerel and he started trying to take over the flock she would straight up fight him, it made me so nervous, but no one was seriously injured. Needless to say both of these ladies are 2 1/2 and they provide me with a lot of entertainment. I hope you enjoy your wild child!

Not Rick James 🤣. Mine is a character for sure and the boss at 13 weeks. Can’t wait to see how she is when she gets bigger. She is entertaining and a notorious scrambled egg thief. She goes up against my 1 and half year old cinnamon queen (who is my biggest hen) for treats. She’ll jump up to get into the egg bowl when I’m trying to distribute evenly, or try to snatch the treat bag like she’s never eaten in her life. And she is always running around squaking like she is giving orders to imaginary chickens. And I’m like I can’t be the only one with a crazy bird like this 🤣.

All my auracana crosses are both highly entertaining and a giant pain in the ass. I have 4 of them. They are however not as difficult as the 'mix' chickens I have, who showed up from the neighbors and then delivered a surprise batch of chicks for me from my own rooster. I wasn't going to keep the chicks once grown but now they live here forever because I CAN'T CATCH THEM.

Now you’re stuck with second generation squatters. I swear mine is half road runner! I have to slowly move closer and closer, pretend like I’m not looking at her or busy doing something else to get a good shot at catching her.

That's how my OE is, I swear she has one eye looking for me and one eye looking at me all the time:lau When she had vent gleet it was a total side show circus trying to get her to wash her bum and treat her, smdh
