My Rapunzel (apparently the same kind of chicken)((you actually replied to my question about her!)) She is the same way!!! She is also super jealous. Anytime I try to pay attention to another chicken, she yells at me. She also has to be the center of every picture. I can't get pictures of another chicken without her photo bombing them. So much personality and sass in her! The smaller version of her, makes sure she's the FIRST one to get food. Meaning, as soon as I walk into their run, she doesn't wait for me to put it in their dishes. She flies to me and eats it out of the cup before everyone else.I have an Olive egger who is just feral. She is a wellsummer and cream legbar mix. She chirps, squawks, whistles, honks and tweets! As a chick she would chirp in her sleep constantly talking. She eats enough for two chickens. She pecks at my boots and will let me hold her but not long and she is mouthy the whole time she is being fed. She feathered out fast and is pretty big. She will take on one of my biggest birds if I’m giving scrambled eggs as a treat. And flies like a regular bird! What is this madness? Has anyone had the same experience with the same mix? She also leads the others into the garden, ate all my cayenne peppers and the leaves on them.

So there is a light at the end of the OE tunnel? I wonder if patricia my *OE* will calm down or stay battyI have a bird of the same mix - she was very much like yours when younger. Used to drive me nuts & peck my feet & was always under foot. Once she started to lay she settled down quite a bit. I don't handle any of my birds so she's now like the rest of them that think any time I go in the run I want to kill them.
She is my smallest bird & lays cute little olive eggs. She's very quiet but always the first to run up if I have food.
She's funny, after she lays an egg she can't get to food fast enough. I have port feeders & she will run from the nest to the feeder - stick her head in & eat all while singing the egg song. Hilarious to watch. She's a funny girl.

I wasn't going to keep the chicks once grown but now they live here forever because I CAN'T CATCH THEM.
Guinea wants to be a house bird. Tired of foraging lol.
I have a guinea I acquired the same way. I hate the stupid bird - it is obsessed with the window screens on my house and has ripped giant holes in ALL of them.
It's just a bold personality, nothing to do with breed/mix. I enjoy the ones with some spunk so long as they don't become bullies.
