OEGB hen very bloated and acting "slow"

Okay, I bet no one's even subscribed to this thread anymore, but Lady Jane died a couple weeks ago. It was really sudden; she was acting fine that morning, but when my little sister was walking out to take care of her bunnies, and Jane was under the trampoline almost completely limp and gasping for air. She brought her inside, and after a minute or so she started jumping all over the counter, flapping her wings. then she died in my dad's arms.

Well, daddy cut her open to see if she choked on something (that's sure what it looked like) but her throat was clear, and her neck wasn't broken. When he cut into her body cavity - blood everywhere. He said it was like she bled out internally, almost like she burst a blood vessel. There wasn't anything sharp in her that could have cut a vessel, but she hadn't eaten anything that morning, either. I did some research and decided that Sudden Death Syndrome fit all her symptoms - except for one: SDS affects broilers, not skinny, slow maturing, older, bantams!

On a random positive note, we gave her a jedi/indian/almost viking funeral ceremony. In tact terms, we cremated her, but my brother was calling it her jedi ceremony

So on the off chance that someone notices this, does anyone know what could have happened?
