Are these bb red or crele chicks? Or both? I'm thinking the 2 with lighter heads and white in feathering are crele and other 4 are bb red but I'm no expert. Thanks in advance!

I think they look like crele too. How can you confirm cockerel? They are hatchery birds. Were supposed to be all bb red though. If I got a couple crele cockerels I'm not even mad lol

BBR and female crele chicks will be difficult to tell apart until feathered. The chicks with the muted grey down and white spots are crele males. I would assume BBR until proven otherwise because that's what you ordered

i actually didnt order them just picked them up at a farm store. They were in assortments of w silkie bbr and silver sebright. So I had assumed these were all bbr. But they came from hoovers and they also sell silver duckwing which also look a lot like the bbr chicks. Has me wondering now if I have any idea what I got

Crele is an autosexing colour If I'm remembering correctly the girls are a darker chipmunk pattern and the boys are a little more red, less patterned and have a white dot on their head ^^

I'm a bit out of practice. We've been fighting a Cooper's hawk and an occasional sharp shinned hawk. We lost a lot of Seramas and a few OEGB.
I'm much better with colors when they are a couple weeks older.
A white spot on the head is usually a sign of barring, but the rest of that one being chipmunk striped, I would say that is a Crele. Please update in a couple weeks and I will give it a go.

At this point, my guesses are that you have two creles and four BBRs. When they’re this young it’s hard to be certain.
