I'm confused. I have another obvious oegb (mix) rooster besides the black and white one? Or do you mean the BCM rooster?

I'm definitely not a genetics expert but I feel like the chicks wouldn't look like that with those parents? The chicks look mottled and birchen. I cannot say if they have hidden genes or something but something seems off to me

Mottling is a recessive gene, and the parents are mixed, so that part makes sense. The birchen/black coloring is strange, but I’m guessing there’s another black/birchen parent that wasn’t pictured. Black/birchen is pretty dominant, so one black/birchen parent would be enough to create those colors.

That's what I was thinking. I also was wondering about the recessive mottling like @RoostersAreAwesome but I'm just not sure of the likelihood?

That’s why I suggested that the parents are serama mixes, since seramas often have mottling.
