What is the penalty for not dubbing combs for shows (if there is one) on OEGB?

Can juniors do showmanship with one that has a comb and wattles?

Junior birds in Showmanship classes do not need to be dubbed.
In open classes cock birds [over 1 year old] are disqualified if not dubbed.

If the original reason for dubbing was fighting, and fighting is illegal, why are they still dubbed?

Interesting. I have to read up, I'm getting side tracked by all the rings and links.

Does the American standard keep in line with the English, or completely independent?

Funny! I just got through reading half of that! Are you dubbing Heather? I'll just bring mine down to you for it! It just seems so unnecessary unless they're fighting or out in the cold. Neither of which any of these will be.

Where's the standard? I can't find it. I want tail angle, back, etc.... I am on the OEGB of America Club site looking all over...

I havent had to dub yet, but i use to do all my puppy tails so I think a can muster up the stomach for it, i just hate that you have to wait so long to do it, i wish you could do it like a pup at 3 days old lol...mine came dubbed already but someday I will have to cross that bridge I guess
