Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Eclipse glanced back at Sunspot first.
"That's because this is Helios' son, Sol," she turned back to Sol, but as she was opening her mouth to reply, a Skywing appeared at her side in a flourish of blazing, bright red scales. "Oh hiya, what- what even type of dragon are you?”
Eclipse blinked at him, folding her wings in tighter, self-conscious.
She leveled her gaze on the Skywing with a cold stare, annoyance prickling through her scales.
"Well if you have to know this instant, I'm a Lunar-"
She broke off, glancing at the Leafwing as she approached.
"Um, excuse me, I'm sorry to interrupt, but what exactly is this place?"
She stared blankly at the dragon for a second, unsure if she should actually be annoyed with the shy green dragon. She let out a long exasperated breath.
"We are near the Sky Kingdom but still in the desert. This is just the first checkpoint on the journey." she turned her head back to the Skywing, her scales rippling with discomfort at the stares and mutters from the other dragons passing.
"I'm a Lunarwing, yes my tribe is mostly dead so yeah, you've probably never seen one, now do you all mind?" She unfurled her wings a little in exasperation, flicking them in a motion for them both to go away, hoping none of the other dragons decide to ask her any more questions. She turned back to Sol locking eyes with him again.
"Sol listen to me," she kept her voice low. "I know it's hard to leave him, but there's nothing we can do. Most of these dragons are too injured, including you. Including me. The Den will be on high alert by now, and trying to go back is a death wish." She dropped her gaze to the sand.
"I wanted to go back and help too. The most we can do is wait, and hope he was right. He'll find a way, somehow."

"Thank you." Hibiscus nodded. She was fascinated by the LunarWing, and she'd only ever heard of the tribe in stories, but she sensed the dragon's discomfort and wanted to give her some space.
She nudged at the wounds on her wings made by the wing clamps and inspected the damage done. There were tiny holes in her wing membranes but it would heal in time.
Why on Pyrrhia was she acting so shy? These dragons were her comrades. She was being ridiculous. She shook out her huge wings and lifted her head, sitting down outside the group. They all seemed to know each other.

“Um, cool, why is everyone over here please go away I’m trying to listen to an important conversation,” Sunspot said irritatably, waving her wings at the approaching dragons. “So uh- what happened to Helios? You’re like- his son?” She asked. “Like a prince? Crazy.”

Sol clamped his mouth shut, swallowing welling emotions as the idea of a life without Tobias began to play through his mind. He couldn't stay here. He couldn't leave Tobias. Impulsive reactions raced through his mind. Sol's gaze turned slowly towards the narrow passage out of the cavern. He took a sharp, shaking breath. And then he bounded towards cavern exit, his talons spraying rocks in his wake.

(Maybe you could rp her with Calla and Cassius!) @Little Baby Bean

Cas backed up when the dragoness fluttered her wings. A LunarWing? What even was that? A hybrid? He backed up, slightly uneased by the silver dragon’s sharp response. “Okay, okay, sorry, sorry..” he walked back over to Calla, not even sure he should interact with the irritated hybrid. Maybe he should fly somewhere else and try to start over with a different group of dragons. He glanced around over the group, trying to spot more approachable-looking dragons.

Hibiscus noticed a deep red SkyWing casting a look over the large group of dragons and offered a smile when their eyes met. It'd been years since she had even an ally, and her extroverted heart ached for new friends. She wanted to make a good impression on these dragons.

Yesss, I am so hyped to learn more about Hibiscus and see this interaction! 😆

The SolarWing skidded to a stop, tossing sand in every direction as he finally let panicked tears streak down his nose. He scanned the dunes, then wheeled back towards the cavern, scrambling up the rocky mountain side. Sol could feel his shoulder throb, the pain jarring as he climbed over a tall boulder, daring to jump to the next mossy ledge before he gazed out at the horizon, his heart pounding terribly. The red dragon swallowed hard, then continued his climb, trying to get his wild thoughts under control- but Tobias was all he had. Tobias was all he  knew. Horrid tears welled yet again, and Sol settled himself on a jagged ledge, coughing back gasping half-sobs as he sought to catch his shallow breath.
This literally was his worst nightmare. How could this be happening.
How could this be happening.

Matty lives in Germany, Sarcastic, cuz she's cool like that, so you'll probably get a reply early tomorrow morning ;)
