Gen soared beside the vehicle, allowing Alicanto to have his fun before he pulled his wings against himself ramming into the top side of the car.
The vehicle smacked against the sand, then leapt back into the air, rolling rolling rolling at an incredible speed.
Gen shifted back, his golden scales reflecting the moonlight as he soared beside the tumbling vehicle. The engine went out as the car, upside down, stopped halfway up a large, sloping dune.
As predicted, the car held up well, all things considered. It was Ferrin's invention- one was to expect nothing less.
The sand shifted, pulling the vehicle towards Gen as the hybrid landed. He reached a massive talon towards the car.

Ding, ding, ding, ding-
Slowly the muffled world sharpened- but Tobias didn't dare move. He could feel his entire body shaking, uncontrollable tremors racking his limbs as adrenaline coursed.
Upside down. The world was inverted, the blood churned in his head, a lightheaded sensation washed through mind.
The car alarm continued to sing, and Tobias slowly lifted his head, his eyes locked on Gables' slumped form.
The car shuddered, and leaned. Tobias tensed, grunting as the vehicle flipped right side up.
Something growled.
Tobias released his seatbelt, the click making him jump as he crawled back into the narrow floor space, spitting blood.

Ajax glided to the car quickly, reaching his talons out to it. He slammed into the vehicle, his nails digging in. With a huge, cruel smile on his face, Ajax picked it up, shook the car, and roughly dropped it again.

(Hopefully it is ok that he is doing this! I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to RP or not. I can delete if I need to.)

Ajax glided to the car quickly, reaching his talons out to it. He slammed into the vehicle, his nails digging in. With a huge, cruel smile on his face, Ajax picked it up, shook the car, and roughly dropped it again.

Gen snarled, barring his teeth at the dragon. They were on a mission- it was no time for such jesting behavior.
The car rolled upside down again.

Tobias lay on the hard ceiling, letting out a half strangled groan as he forced himself up, gripping Gables' seat as he steadied himself.
His eyes watered due to the unrelenting numb tingle from the bridge of his nose, and his arm, which he had tied against his chest, burned with an increasing vigor.
For a moment Tobias gripped the driver's seat, leaning against the leather. His groggy gaze wandered towards the SMG beneath the passenger seat, but the sound of a snarling growl snapped him from the half conscious daze.
Tobias clenched his jaw, swinging himself around to Gables' side from where the man hung upside down, suspended by the seat belt. Blood snaked down Gables' forehead, dripping down from his nose. Tobias was certain he was no better off, feeling blood on his own lips.
The car shifted again, and Tobias moaned softly, his stomach flipping flipping flipping as he wrapped his good arm around the passenger seat, prepared for more shaking.

Sol had seen the lights, he had heard the crunch of the crashing car.
He crouched low against the dune, studying the SandWing's outline. He was the only one he could recognize of the three, and a certain determination sparked in Sol's mind as he watched the dragon right the smoking vehicle.
He knew that dragon.
And that dragon knew him.
Sol remained silent, waiting for the opportune moment to advance.

Alicanto landed in the sand between the other two, staring down at the car, his tail thrashing with excitement. He gestured Gen aside with a wing, sidestepping to pace slowly along next to the car. He casually lifted a talon, resting his curved, eagle-like claws on the side of the knarled metal and drug his talon across the side.
"Auuuugusssssssst," he drawled in English, a lightly toned hiss, his forked, back tongue flicking between his teeth at the end.
"Why all the hurry? I thought you and your pet were enjoying all the fame and fortune."
He stopped beside the passenger door, a toothy grin slowly spreading across his face, making his teeth glitter menacingly. He swatted a talon half-heartedly through the shattered window, not fully intending to actually catch ahold of the human he knew was inside.
"Where's your champion now?" Alicanto laughed, shoving the car before he stepped away, making the totaled vehicle rock. He glanced at the other two and swept a wing towards Gen in a flourish.
"Would you like to do the honors?" He switched back to Dragon, cocking his head at the hybrid, his eye glittering dangerously.

Eclipse hauled herself onto the next dune, panting as she stopped at the crest, her wings and tail drooping slightly from the trip.
Imperial was nearing the center of the sky, and Perception was sticking halfway over the horizon. Oracle had set not long after the sun had, nearing its new phase and hiding beneath the dunes earlier than the other two.
The trail Sol had left behind still stretched out in front of her and she was beginning to wonder if it would ever actually end. Her shoulder was throbbing now, and she had switched from half gliding between dunes, to simply scaling and running across them. Eclipse ran her tongue over her teeth and the corners of her mouth, feeling parched even in the cold, the humidity in the air disturbingly low. The bandages around her forearm were beginning to unravel, and she could see the blood from the bullet wound seeping through and crusting around the edges of the cloth. Every time she put too much weight on it, she felt the wound pulse and warm as fresh blood spilled out, making her limp more and more the farther she went.
But something about the moonlight and the darkness around her was energizing. She could see clearly in the desert as if in broad daylight, and her scales blended surprisingly well into the white sand, bouncing back the light of the moons and turning her scales a ghostly white. She remembered the stories she'd heard from her brother, about how the ancients used to sleep through the day and ruled at night. Moments like this, with nothing but her, the earth, and the moons and stars above, made her believe that more. Eclipse felt alive, despite the pain in her arm and shoulder and the dry feeling in her mouth. The longer the night dragged on, the more alert she became.
She raked her gaze over the desert, her eyes tracing Sol's trail over the dunes.
Something on the dunes far off flashed, a spark of warm white light scattering on the waves before disappearing. She had been watching the pair of dragons cross the sky for the past several minutes. One, a bright color, though she couldn't specify in the dark, the other, paler but not as colorful. They'd both dived toward the sand a few seconds before, and Eclipse wondered what the commotion was about. Sol'd trail led directly toward the scene, but it was still miles out from where Eclipse was, and she could see nothing of whatever event was ensueing over the sand.
She heaved a deep breath before plunging over the side of the dune again, her tail whipping up sand as she ran, spraying the moon touched grain into the air like star dust.

Now he survived off of adrenaline- whatever Gables had given him had long worn off, and even now he could his body grow colder in the humid air.

Gen glanced at Alicanto as August retreated towards the other two dragons. "Grab him."

The SandWing righted the car once again, moving to the driver's seat. He wrenched the door open, dragging a human out a few moments later. It wasn't Tobias, Sol could see that much, but then the SandWing tossed the man against the sand, and the body became nothing more than a dim shadow.
