Yeah, we can just say this happened before the last two parts, they are currently running back to the lot because they heard a patrol coming, I will quote the parts in a sec...Citrus eyed the dragon, who seemed irritated with the human.
"Maybe this is the right time to slip away from them... I'll be free, and I won't be beaten anymore..." Citrus edged away slowly..
(I don't know if I got the right idea, lol i haven't been that active so I am sort of clueless)
Austin still waited for a reply from the confused dragon in front of him. His anger was building now as his patience waned. He needed to know who was responsible so he could help to put the rebellion out. He was about to sound his inquiry again when footsteps and shouting bounced down the halls and towards them. More patrols! Great! Just what we need right now. He clenched his teeth as he tried to figure out his next options. He motioned for the dragons to follow him and they ran back to the lot where he'd left Alyssia, Apple, and Bamboo from previously. We have to get out of here, and now. The sound of footsteps was getting louder and Austin's heart began racing faster. They had to get back to the original floors and out of the maze.

@Bella the Chicken LoverWhitestar scowled at Austin as the human once again gave his silent command, frustrated to be taking orders from the self-righteous hunter. But the last thing they needed now was to get caught by a patrol in the middle of the Scorpion Den, and Whitestar didn't know his way through the maze-like corridors, so he followed Austin anyway, despite his irritation.

“I’ve never been out of the Den.” Ajax said, looking down. There was raw emotion in his voice as the memories that he wished to forget played through his mind. Being abused since he hatched, being forced to fight, and then being stuck with the boring jobs."How long you been in The Den?" She gave him a dull grin, then looked away. "Betting you don't remember. Betting you're a brain washed foo, just like my pal Alicanto here, eh?"

He glanced up, focusing his stare ahead of him. “I’ve never been brainwashed before.” He paused. “At least I don’t think I have. I was hatched and raised to be the best soldier I could be. I don’t see why there would be any reason to take my thoughts away then.” Ajax said quietly, trying to push the memories out.
"Aye, that's the catch, pal. They're unreasonable monsters. They don't need a reason to ruin you. They just do."“I’ve never been out of the Den.” Ajax said, looking down. Vel snarled.
"You were raised here all those years?" She arched her brow, glancing at the SkyWing, then looked away.
"I'm sorry." She muttered. "That's-... I'm sorry."
“Don’t apologize.” Ajax said, looking blatantly at Vel. “It was all in the past. And if they wouldn’t have raised me like that, I would probably be some wimpy, pathetic dragon.”"Aye, that's the catch, pal. They're unreasonable monsters. They don't need a reason to ruin you. They just do."

“It was probably a good thing I never knew my parents. They never would have loved me anyways. If I had learned love, I would have had more weaknesses to worry about.” Ajax paused, thinking. “It’s as easy as that. I’ll just never love anything… or anyone. I don’t think it’s capable for me either way.”
“Enough about my sad, lonely life. What was it like for you? Did you ever learn how to love?” Ajax asked, watching Vel.
Vel snorted. "Actually, yes. But love, and having a conscious... Their kiiinda two very completely different things." She scoffed. "I don't know how you live with yourself." She winced inwardly at her own words. "You know, I was in a similar position once. Without... hope.... gosh, I would- was... such a monster." Vel rolled her eyes, unwilling to let herself fall into the past. So she turned the conversation back to him. "And the fact that you clearly admit your life sucks. Like, bro. Start a new one." She smirked. "I can help you."“Don’t apologize.” Ajax said, looking blatantly at Vel. “It was all in the past.
