Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Ferrin's gone, my dude, he left for the Rally. Still has an identity to maintain. It's okay, though. She can be talking to Gables instead.

That is actually a really neat sacrifice play. I'm down. I'll write my part when the stupid high pm calms down ;)
Lol yes sorry! Instead of talking to him she can be complaining and saying it in an annoyed ā€œwhy couldn’t you just do this when you were hereā€ tone. Good? šŸ˜‚
ā€œMmm, maybe,ā€ Sunspot said. She moved to lay down near a wall, but didn’t sleep. Instead she watched the dragons around her murdering quietly to one another, brushing wings, twining tails….

She sighed. She’d never had any urge to be close to anyone, but now, even surrounded by other dragons, she felt so alone.

MAN I LOVE THIS RP SO MUCH. THE WRITING, THE CHARACTERS, THE LITTLE INTERACTIONS. THREE MOONS.

Phoenix jumped as the huge shadow passed over her, shrinking into her wings a little as a massive CloudWing landed. He was regal and carried an air of authority to him. As he extended a talon in greeting, Phoenix felt frozen. Again. She found herself hanging back behind King, squeaking out a soft ā€œhi.ā€

Instantly she flared at herself inwardly. Why did she always have to act so stupid?

She had single handed ot made the entire situation painfully awkward. She forced herself to step forward, taking a deep breath.

ā€œHi,ā€ she tried again, her voice still sounding stupid and quivery. ā€œI’m Phoenix.ā€
Osprey smoothly transitioned from holding out his talon to shake hers and noticing she didn’t want to, to noticing how her feathers danced with heat as if she was a Solarwing. He kept his talon up and instead pointed to her feathers, ā€œPhoenix…like the mythical and immortal bird.ā€ He said with an interested voice. But then his attention became split as he stared in awe of the dragonet clambering out of Kings backpack and into Kings talons. A flaming Cloudwing….and….was it even possible? A real, live Lunarwing? It looked slightly different then he’d always imagined, pure silver and majestic. This one had black speckles and dots on its neck, and walked with such clumsiness it almost fell off of Kings talons, of course it was still a hatchling.
ā€œKing how….how long have you had this dragonet here? Where’d it come from? Is it really aā€¦ā€ he starting asking, but king had to stop him before he rambled on. Or revealed too much of their plan.
ā€œYes, Osprey. He’s a Lunarwing. Knights been here for about two days, ever since the raid. I snatched his egg up outa the incubation vender stands. He hatched last night and I came as soon as I had him under control and got a little sleep. He’s the real deal.ā€ He glanced at Phoenix, she had questions in her eyes but he knew she wasn’t going to ask unless they were alone. He took his gaze back to Osprey and began retelling the story of the past few days, putting Knight down and watching him try his hardest to stand up without wobbling and falling in his face.

Knight looked up, up, up at King with huge green eyes and made a few garbled cooing noises, lashing his stubby tail and biting his front left talon while a glob of slobber slowly snaked it’s way down his arm. He then looked up at Phoenix and realized she was very warm, almost like how he remembered sometimes when the big voice still scared him. The warmth of his egg and whoever was outside it. ā€œMILZA!ā€
The sound went through his head and he shuddered but forgot about it a second later as he crawled up to Phoenix and tried to climb up her front leg.

Rose kept quite, focusing on her energy and keeping herself from fainting due to pain. Few times in her life had she felt pain like this.
She lifted the shirt up with her talons and examined his skin. It was deep blue and white by now, starburst patterns erupting like frost on a window, only much more morbid. ā€œPossibly, or it’s the nerves around it dying. Ferrin can you not risk getting one thing out of my medical pouch? Fireweed extract would cure him for sure.ā€
She asked, watching his face for an answer. ā€œThere’s only one other thing I can think of…but I haven’t tried it in years. It hurts….a lot, for both of us I’d imagine.ā€
"What exactly arre you saying, Rrose?" Fracture asked skeptically, standing and grabbing Ferrin's pack before moving to Gables' side.

Rose breathed long and deep, fixing her eyes on Tobias for the moment.ā€œ My father, Ashheart was a nightwing. I…can…breath a little fire. It burns me though, and it wouldn’t help him for long. Long enough to keep him alive until we escape, I suppose.ā€ She told them, watching each of their faces through the bars and waiting for the response. ā€œI can handle the pain.ā€

Gables straightened, glancing down at Tobias, who seemed to be sleeping, then moved his gaze to Fracture. She nodded.
"No- wait, Rose," Gables protested, shaking his head, "we need to worry about you, too. I mean- you've lost so much-"
"She is a doctorr, idiot. I believe she would know."
Gables held Fracture's stare for a moment, then glanced back at Tobias. The ice had spread at an incredible rate, now creeping past his torn sleeve, threatening to start up his neck.
"We have one shot." Gables grunted, moving himself and Tobias against the bars so that they were right beside Rose. "It's spreading from his wrist. If you can.. if you can, well, cauterize it there I imagine it will slow." He glanced at Fracture, who nodded, kneeling beside them. She took Tobias' forearm in her hand, and he shuddered. Gables held him close.
"See, this is wherre he was hit." Fracture pointed to the near black, iced wrist. "And it is all sprreading from the centrral arrea." She dragged Ferrin's bag towards herself. "We have medical supplies."
Gables felt his insides give a sharp twist in anticipation. "Rose, are you sure?"

Phoenix stifled a surprised yelp as the tiny silver dragonet attempted to climb her leg. It made her extremely nervous having him so close. Didn’t he know she was dangerous? A ticking time bomb?

She gingerly scooped up the dragonet and rested him between her shoulder blades, tensing in her anxiety. Her crest was flared in alarm. Calm. Calm. He’s not gonna do anything. You’re not going to burn him.

Oop. Hold the phone. The Lone Ranger.

Sol sat at the cavern entrance, staring in to the sky. He'd spot the occasional bird, his ears would prick up in false hope. Hours passed. The sun beat down. A dragon tried to convince him to leave. But Sol was fine. At the least he felt fine. But only if he didn't dwell on hunger, pain, or thirst. His mind was locked on Tobias. Tobias, and... Helios.
A black dot specked the horizon. Sol sat up with abrupt excitement. The transport's engine roared as it careened through the sand covered road, not daring to slow for a moment. Dragons speckled the air around the truck. Sol stood, squinting at the dragons. Red scales caught his eye. He smiled.
