Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Gen straightened quite suddenly as the moonlight illuminated the man's face.
A torrent of memories charged through his mind, and Gen inhaled a sharp gasp, looking away. He recognized Tobias- and Tobias must have recognized him, because when he locked eyes with his target, the man gave a knowing look.
For a moment, Gen forgot what he was doing in the middle of the desert beside a dead man and a smoking car.
A bright red SolarWing flashed through his mind.

Tobias swore, dropping the damaged weapon, which had done nothing more but click. He raised his left hand slowly, still in the dragon's talons.
The SandWing was studying him, and Tobias locked eyes with the dragon, who gave a small, understanding nod, his jaw slightly agape.

Sol scaled the dune, looking down on the dragons below, who were maybe twenty feet away.
Gen vanished, and Sol tried to suppress a hopeful smile, digging his talons into the sand.
Alicanto looked up at Gen, his eyes narrowing into icy slits as the hybrid disappeared.
Something was suddenly off about the dragon, and the entire mood in the air seemed to shift as quickly as Gen's scales. The Cloudwing glanced down at the human in his talon, wondering what about the pathetic creature had set the hybrid off so suddenly.
Alicanto froze.
Something about the human seemed startlingly familiar. Not like he hadn't seen his face before. He'd seen the pictures the Professor had given him before the hunt and maybe glanced Tobias from a distance.
It was the same feeling that he got around the Professor, only flipped. Whenever he was around the older man, he felt defensive, on edge. Something tugging at the corners of his mind, something he had lost countless nights of sleep over, trying to identify, that told him to run, to attack, to hide.
This human had the opposite effect. Something that channeled beneath the surface of his entire mind, that gave him a feeling that he could only assume was guilt or regret. It was enough to drive him insane. He'd known nothing but the Den his entire life, so why did he feel like there was something missing? Like he was standing on the other side of a mental wall, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't break it down?
Movement in the corner of his eye yanked Alicanto brutally back to the present, and his head snapped around toward a nearby sand dune, his eyes slitting again. He shoved the disturbing feeling back into whatever dark, mental pit they'd come from, tightening his grip on Tobias' waist slightly.
"Back to the Den," he growled to the other two, opening his wings to take to the air. "We got what we came for."

(Not that Alicanto has the same connection to Tobe as Gen does, but he vaguely recognizes him. What Ali doesn't know is that he saw Tobias when he first came to the Den before he lost his memory, and might have had a brief interaction with him.)

Gen backtaloned the CloudWing, spitting venom as he snarled, still remaining invisible.
He retreated as Alicanto began to blindly retaliate, missing each of his lunging attacks, Tobias still trapped his talon.
Gen leapt back at the CloudWing, his venomous claws at the ready.

(I think their kind of like Mcu super soldiers. They can handle a lot, get beat up with hardly a scratch- heal stupid fast... Gen is so op, and the rebellion needs that, but they all have incredible stamina, so the fight can still be exciting, of course.
Sorry for my delayed and half-hearted responses, we're driving through mountains rn and I'm jus dying-)

Alicanto ducked to avoid getting hit by the spray of venom, still reeling from the sudden blow and protecting his head with a wing, the droplets landing on the thick feathers and hissing menacingly. The Cloudwing swung clumsily at the space in front of him, snarling violently as his claws raked empty air, pressing Tobias against his chest feathers.
The air stirred and Alicanto instinctively ducked, Gen's claws slicing through his crest and ripping out several feathers behind his head. The Cloudwing lunged close to the ground, his teeth flashing out and barely grazing what Alicanto assumed was probably a leg, before he leapt away, clearing the smoking car and landing on the other side. The silver dragon glanced down at the ground beneath him before scooping his wings into the sand, catching the dust with his feathers and flinging it repeatedly in the direction of the hybrid, watching it shower and bounce off the invisible form, hopefully blinding him a moment.
"Ajax," Alicanto snarled, backing away from the vehicle and flinging another wave of sand in Gen's direction, frustration flaring in his veins. He couldn't attack the invisible dragon with only one talon, and if he set Tobias down, he risked the human running away, or Gen snatching him up himself.
"Don't just stand there, I need claws!" He hoped the red dragon would listen. Gen had proven untrustworthy, not that Alicanto was too surprised. But if both hybrids turned against him, this fight would get ugly fast.

(I've been thinking a lot that maybe, I should change the fact that Ali doesn't have warping. I thought about it a little at first, and now that he's actually in a fight, I need something that actually makes him dangerous besides skill and wicked claws. idk if I'm allowed to change it this far into the RP though)

Corvus flicked his ears in the direction of the stranger, who had appeared from seemingly nowhere.

“You could say that,” he grumbled, not looking up. He gave the stranger only a quick glance. Seemed… off.

Corvus pulled his tail in and rested it over his talons, looking at the stranger. The other dragon lingered in the dark. Corvus narrowed his eyes, not liking the vibes he was getting. “Who are you?”
"Who are you?" came the question. Skeptical already...
He decided to play the one in the shadows a little longer. "Tell me," he began, his voice losing the high pitched tone to it and reverting back to its lower hissing. He kept his face turned and away from the cloudwing. "Do you know that it's possible to have dragons with other...traits than the original species?"
