Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Sol had basically drowned out the dragons ridiculous, meaningless words. But then a human entered the trailer, short, his face square, scruffy gray beard- Monzy.
Why did he feel relieved?
Because it was a human. And even though the dragons around him were kind and gentle-...
Sol traced his emotions back, trying to pin down straying feelings and find answers.
He depended on humans.
His whole life he'd been surrounded by humans, hardly interacting with dragons if possible. He was too good for them.
Monzy gave a good natured grin as he walked up to Kassa and Kal.
"Yah beat them awwwll?" Kassa mock gawked.
"Course he did. He's just that freaking good." Kal shrugged, winking at Monzy.
Sol sought to catch the human's gaze, but Monzy turned away. "K, folks, stay here. Almost got everyone loaded. We'll head out soon."
Sol sighed heavily, tempted to glance up at Tobias, but that would mean moving his head from the man's lap, and he could feel how hard Tobias was leaning against him. The human wasn't asleep, Sol could quick movements and uncertain breaths. He closed his eyes, sighing as the dragons continued their playful banter.
“Yyup,” Cas said cockily, reaching out with an elbow to lean on something cooly, but upon finding nothing, groped for a purchase and ended up crashing onto the ground. He yelped the word ‘Ow’ and scrambled upright quickly, shaking his wings out.
“I meant to do that,” he said, face redder than before as he stifled a snort of laughter.

"Oh, OH, of course." Kassa nodded quickly. "Duuuude. So, how'd you meet her?" He nodded towards Hibiscus with a meaningful, cunning look.

Vel pulled the vehicles off the road, she moved the NightWings body, and she searched to assist any survivors.
There weren't any.
Six cars in total. Ten people had died.
Because of some idiots ego.
Vel lumbered back to the CloudWing, rage boiling in her heart.
The blood was staining the sand. A lot of sand.
The CloudWing watched her, his gaze steady, yet unfocused.
"Don't faint, now." She growled, snatching his talon back from his neck. The blood dripped steadily, and she hissed, shaking her head. "More pressure. You cannot let up, this is bad, okay?"
Vel glanced back at the freeway, the steady sound of car alarms blaring. Police would be here soon. The SDP. And then she'd be drugged up and useless.
She shifted her scales to match the flat desert sand, moving to reposition the CloudWing's talon. Vel met his strained gaze, shoving his talon back down on the wound. "That hard. No-" she moved his talon back. "That hard. Or you're legit gunna die out in the mide of nowhere like the complete idiot you are." She gave a fake smile, rolling her eyes. Vel scanned his body for more injuries, but, other than the odd feathers sticking up at strange angles, he seemed in generally good condition.
"We have to get back to the dunes. That's a twenty minute flight. There we can try to stop the bleeding."
It felt like she was talking to the sand. He wasn't really listening to her, was he? The haze clouding his eyes and his trembling talon weakly clutching his neck- she shook her head.
This dragon was going to die.
But Vel refused.
She couldn't let him.
Wouldn't let him.

Ajax was confused. Vel could fly away at any moment. She had a big chance to. And yet, she chose to help Alicanto.
Ajax stood a little ways behind the two dragons. He was trying to slow his heart rate after the intense fight that just ended. During the brawl, he bit a NightWing and the dragon rolled in blistering pain.
But he didn’t know why.

Alicanto was blinking fiercely, trying to press his talon harder against his neck as Vel had instructed. It felt like trying to run in a dream. No matter how much his mind was telling him to press harder, he felt like his talon wouldn't or couldn't respond, and his energy was continuing to drain.
"How can..." he took a shuddering, panting breath. "How could... I fly? The bleeding... will get worse... if I move."
His head fell against the sand but he forced his eyes to stay open, staring at the disastrous highway. Guilt began spreading over his fury and panic as he watched the smoking heaps of metal.
"They died didn't they," he rasped bluntly.

"Yes," Vel snarled, standing over the dragon. Her talons twitched impulsively. "They all died."
But instead of striking the CloudWing, Vel reached for his talon, pinning hers down overtop his. She pushed hard, a silent satisfaction dying out when his wings twitched, flailing in pain.
Well now she felt bad, gosh darnit.
Vel reached around the silver dragon's chest, lifting him into the air, her talon still clenched around his neck.
"Don't fight me, CloudWing." She warned, lifting into the air.
She could feel the dragon tense in her arms, his strange feathers rubbing against her scales.
"Hold on. I'm moving as fast as I can."

“On the transport,” Cas replied, glancing over at her.
Then his brain thought twice.
“Oh, oh no wait-” he laughed, glancing at her again, “it’s not what you think it is.” The SkyWing laughed. “But seriously- don’t question her,” his eyes widened comically and he wiggled his claws mysteriously, “she knows EVERYbody.”
