When Vel asked why Ajax continued to follow, it really got him thinking. Why do I stay? Is it for Alicanto or… is it for myself? If I went back, what would happen? Would they kill me, or worse? Would they erase my mind like that hybrid? Will I be happier here?
As the questions ran through his mind, Ajax began to reply. He didn’t know what he would even say.
Vel interrupted him with a threat, making Ajax angry. “I don’t see why-” he began to remark, getting interrupted once again, this time by Alicanto.
He watched as Alicanto miserably groaned, slight sorrow showing on Ajax’s face.

Vel repositioned the dragon.
"We need to find water. The longer we go without it, the quicker we'll fade. From here out, stopping is not an option. Once you stop, everything shuts down."
She glanced out at the rolling desert, squinting at the tall dunes on the horizon.
"We can make it to the mountains. There will be water in the valleys."
Alicanto stiffened.
Vel closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath.
"Let's hurry, Ajax. Before the CloudWing dies."

Soooooo….imma dump Dred with shrike and Kapok I think.

Helios is back at the caves trying to figure out humans so he can understand his son.

King is chillin in frozen time with Knight and Phoenix.

Rose is in Ferrins dungeon. (Do I have something to reply to with her?)



Dred hadn’t seen this much mud in…well, ever. He dove into the almost dry pond, his talons sinking quickly into the deep brown mud. It oozed thru his aching joints and into small cuts and scrapes that hadn’t healed yet from his arena fights. He let it seep into his scales and sooth his tired body, releasing a relaxed sigh after a moment. I wonder where shrike and Kapok are….?


Helios stared at the doctor as he rambled once again about the science of dragon anatomy. How strong the bones are. how the scales are the perfect mix of armour and flexible. HOW FIRE WORKS!

How was it that Sol was going to give up his life, the one he should have had at the kingdom, for a HUMAN? It was complete nonsense.
“And the best part! I figured out why! In the ends of your tails are clusters of hyper sensitive nerves, they help you keep your balance when flying and walking. So if someone else were to bite those nerves makes it very painful! A vulnerable spot at the end of a dragons tail, who’da thought.” The doctor rattled on.



Rose forced her mouth shut, grinding her teeth together. The doctor Ferrin had called was almost as gentle as a monkey that had WAY too many adrenaline shots. Rose tried to open her eyes, but it seemed she couldn’t control herself anymore. Her leg spasmed as the infected blood tried to pump its way back up to her heart, but was stopped by a tourniquet made of an old snake skin belt. Or wait? Was that a belt? It looked like a real snake. She shivered as her eyes opened by themselves and stared down into the eye of a dragon viper. It’s glistening fangs lunged towards her, but as soon as they made contact with her skin they seemed to change. They morphed into medical needles that stung like killer bees. Her world spun out of focus, everything was SO bright and foggy. She could hear Ferrins voice trying to comfort her, but her instincts were screaming at her to run. All her senses were disoriented, she felt like she was imagining things, which she was, and couldn’t think straight.

"Possiblity." Ferrin confirmed, his gaze on Rose as the trailer doors shut. "Get her out of here."
The Trucker gave a grim nod.
Ferrin waited to watch as the truck pulled out of the parking garage.
He had messed up.
In countless different ways.
He hadn't saved Fracture in time.
Rose was severely injured.
Tobias and Gables? Time would tell.
Part of him envied Rose. She was going to be free. And yet... He was still stuck here. In the Scorpion Den.

(Sorry, busy morning. Uh, I think you missed a previous post I tagged you in with Rose and Ferr, but it doesn't matter. If she goes to Possibility, then Raptor is there, and we can finally incorporate her into the story.)

Rose felt herself being lowered onto the bed of a trailer, she heard the doors closing and glimpsed Ferrins face just before they did. “I’m so sorry Ferrin.”
She tried, but it was less then a whisper.
